The Field Session

The field session is designed to take the guess-work out completely. 30 minutes in my favorite, no-fail field location that translates in any season and size of family. It's best for those seeking more classic portraits, but with a playful, relaxed twist. Returning to the same location year-after-year is a special and predictable way for families to commit to annual updated photos as you grow.

Timeless outdoor family photos

The field session takes place in my favorite, familiar location in Charlottesville, VA. In 30 minutes, we make space to move, play, and connect while capturing classic portraits and in-between moments that fuel our hearts for the long-run.

With a shorter time-frame than my signature Home and Story Sessions, these outdoor-only sessions are straightforward and simple. They're perfect for seasonal updates and kids of all ages. We make sure to capture individual portraits and small groups within the family throughout our time that bring variety and personality to your final gallery.

How it works

    Book through the direct link or reach out if you have any lingering questions. You'll complete a brief questionnaire about your family, reserve your spot, and look forward to the session.

    We'll meet at the field to create photographs - but it will feel more like a family playdate. I'll make everyone feel relaxed and direct the flow of our time for a healthy mix of portraits, natural exploration, and play. You'll leave feeling more connected and grateful for the time you set aside to make it happen.

  3. // 3.

    In 2 weeks or less, you'll receive your final gallery of 25-30 images and a custom slideshow set to music. Sink in and enjoy the reflection of your family's personality and delight in one another. From here, you can download your whole gallery and print your images however you like, including through the curated print shop attached. and continue reaping the joy of your images for years ahead.
